Fertility treatments and associated fees can be pretty complicated to explain. A team member from accounts will go through the costs that you can expect for your treatments and will provide you with a written estimate. If you are still unclear, please just ask us.

Out Of Pocket Expenses

Despite Medicare funding and private health insurance, all Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) Services such as In Vitro Fertilisation (IVF) and Intra Cytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI) procedures still have out-of-pocket or ‘gap’ expenses for the patient. Complex treatments such as these, involve the services of many different health care professionals.

Your particular circumstances, the actual treatment received, whether any complications arise during treatment, and the level of cover from your particular health fund, will all determine your final out of pocket expense.

The exact nature of the account will depend on the procedure(s) undertaken, the amount of medications used, and the length of stay in hospital, if applicable. Your expected out of pocket cost will depend on your level of private health insurance cover that you have and the treatments and medications required for your specific circumstances.

In summary, with Affordable IVF your out of pocket expenses are approximately 1/3 of those charged by some other clinics. When you attend for a first visit, the accounts staff at Affordable IVF will thoroughly cover all expected out of pocket expenses with you and provide you with a written estimate of costs.
